Which shampoo is best for oily hair? i have dandruff and hairfall too so please suggest the mildest possible.!?

Sunsilk egg and almond shampoo...

For dandruff and hair fall you need to go for hot oil massage weekly once you can do it in parlor or else u can do by ur own with mixture of olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil warm the oil and massage it in ur hair..

Drink lot of waterWhich shampoo is best for oily hair? i have dandruff and hairfall too so please suggest the mildest possible.!?
What you need a treatment to strengthen your hair roots and to get rid of dandruff. Try hot oil treatment with coconut or almond oil but what I had used was Ziravie a lotion, which combines tradition, science and nature to provide a mixture of natural nutrients, minerals and vitamins, which act on the scalp in depth, that in turn stimulates strong, healthy, robust hair growth, strengthening hair roots, gives volume and reduces thinning , gets rid of dandruff, stops hair loss and baldness. check ebay.es and the ID is saludybelleza2364 which gives a combination of fruits and vegetables that helps to strengthen the hair roots internally.Which shampoo is best for oily hair? i have dandruff and hairfall too so please suggest the mildest possible.!?
sunsilk pink, nizoral
i haev similar problem and use Panetene hair fall control shampoo along with dove conditioner
heads and shoulders...i used to have dandruff but now its gone after using that shampoo
Use Head and shoulders, and that should really take care of the dandruff, and some of the oil. I also recomend, dying your hair, it lowers the amoint of natural oils your hair shaft releases, therefor giving you non greasy hair,

What is the best and safest/mildest shampoo?

I've been using Head %26amp; Shoulders for years now. At first, I thought it was good cus I felt like it really works well on my hair. It became soft and shiny, then I noticed, with my continued use, my hair break and falls alot and I developed dandruff too. My hair was thick then, and now It's so thin that you could easily see my scalp! Then I decided to switch on L'oreal. Same effect, too. Any advice? What do I really need to learn about shampoos? cus I rarely go to salons and ask some hairstylists...

    Your answers are much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Arbonne has some really good shampoos especially if someone has sensitive skin (scalp) - if you want to know more, e-mail me at ashaberry26@yahoo.com :) hope that helps! What is the best and safest/mildest shampoo?
Try Selsun Blue shampoos. They are very effective when it comes to getting rid of dandruff, and are fairly gentle on hair. If that doesn't work, try Neutrogena T-Sal. It is very gentle on the scalp and gets rid of dandruff patches. Hope this helps!
Some people find that baby shampoo works well even as an adult.

Your problem may not be the shampoo. It may be a medical problem that is causing your hair to break and fall out easily. Consider seeing a doctor to rule that out. Also consider taking a vitamin supplement formulated for hair/nail growth and strength.

Herbal Essences is not an organic shampoo. It's virtually the same as Pantene. Most commercial shampoos contain sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate and / or cocamide MEA, and many people find those chemicals harsh and irritating. A natural shampoo might be better for your hair. Some brands you may find at a reasonable price at your local discount or drug store are Tom's of Maine, JASON Natural products and Burt's Bees. They will cost more than Suave or Pantene, of course, but they are reliable and should improve your hair.

Let's talk dandruff for a moment. A small amount of dandruff is normal. Your scalp has skin cells, they die and have to go somewhere. If you have excessive flaking or scaling, especially when combined with a rash, you may have a more serious problem, which again should be checked out by a doctor. If it is just normal dandruff (white flaking with no accompanying scales or rash or excessive oil), most web sites, hairstylists and doctors will recommend harsh chemical shampoos with salicylic acid, coal tar or Head and Shoulders. There are a number of natural home remedies, the most common of which involve massaging a natural oil like olive oil or a mayo-type mixture of eggs and oil into your scalp, leaving it in for 5 minutes, then thoroughly rinsing. Another is to always rinse with cold water or to rinse with vinegar.

Can anyone recommend an organic or low-sudsing mild shampoo good for eczema sufferers?

I can recommend Johnnsons and Johnnsons but check with a medic or a doctor.
    What does your Dermatologist recommend?

What is the mildest shampoo ever?

with no amonia and sodium lauryl sulfates and sodium laureth sulfates. What is the mildest shampoo ever?
Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo - you can even put it in your eyes and it doesn't burnWhat is the mildest shampoo ever?
    johnson baby shampoo
sorry, i have no idea what that stuff is, so i don't know how much i can help you. but you should probably look into baby shampoos, like johnson's or something.
A lot of shampoos at health food stores do not have sulfates, and those are the best shampoos. They don't strip your color and they leave your hair so healthy. Innersense is the best- totally organic and so gentle you could eat it if you wanted to.
    Johnsons Baby Shampoo:

Did you know this Shampoo is recommended if you have pink eye for removing the pus junk from your eyes (even if your eyes are dirty its recommended to use a cotton swab or Q-tip to apply a little bit of water with the Baby Shampoo-Johnsons (the yellow one), and softly apply it to the corners of your eyes then wipe away with a clean cloth (Only you use)

Make sure you hide the wash cloth or put in the wash, because infection can spread.

The mildest I would guess is Johnson's Baby Shampoo. I love it.
Try Organix. I like the Coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. It is natural and has no sulfates. Ever since I started to use it, my hair has been softer, healthier, shinier and it even has been growing faster. You can usually find it at Jewel or Target or you could purchase it on Amazon. Check out the links below! I'm pretty sure you would like it!

Allergic reaction to body wash or shampoo? I have developed a mild red itchy rash only on my chest.?

I recently have developed an itchy rash (only on my chest) and i am wondering if it could be an allergic reaction. It is red and itchy. When i itch it it gets very irritated and red and seems to spread across my chest. when i leave it alone it seems to get better. it's annoying but nothing else. Does this sound like an allergic reaction? Upon doing research i discovered it very well may be but it said allergic reactions to body washes or shampoos are very uncommon. I recently started using Pantene Beautiful Lengths and some weird body wash. The shampoo has Sodium Hydroxide in it, which is a hard core base--therefore irritant. Please in form me of your opinion and personal opinions and feed back. MUCH APPRECIATED

-Sweet RachelAllergic reaction to body wash or shampoo? I have developed a mild red itchy rash only on my chest.?
It could be your detergent or fabric softener on your underclothing or shirts. If you have changed detergent or fabric softener recently, something else to consider.Allergic reaction to body wash or shampoo? I have developed a mild red itchy rash only on my chest.?
Yes, you can have an allergic reaction to body washes. Take benadryl and see if it clears up. If not, go to the doctors tomorrow. Rashes on your chest can mean something else. I'm sure it's just the body wash. This has happened to me in the past. Do not use it anymore. Good luck! I hope it goes away!
yes you have an allergic reaction.if you can get aveno get it.its great on your skin.tavenono soap in it at all and it will help im sure of it good luck

  • Give the name of few mild shampoos which are available in indian market easily.....?

if u want mild shampoos then u need to try herbal shampoos or shikakai Give the name of few mild shampoos which are available in indian market easily.....?
OMG! none of these available in INDIA are mild in any way!!! NOT DOVE, FRUCTIS, SUNSILK,CLEAN N CLEAR, NOT EVEN JOHNSONS. All these shampoos contain SLS or ALS...thats sodium laurel/laureth sulphate or ammonium laureth sulphate. These are components of strong detergents like floor cleaners and laundry soaps and they help forming lots of foam n lather while shampooing(which people prefer). If u want a mild shampoo then look at the ingredients n buy something free of these 2 components. You'l get your answer when u start doing this....as you wont find a single shampoo in the store! So either stick to HIMALAYA (which claims to be herbal...but there are a lot of reports indicating that himalaya also uses a hell lotta chemicals in their products) or MEERA or NYLE. I'm really looking for this kind of shampoo myself..its tough!!! HERBAL ESSENCES (ONLY THE IMPORTED ONES) is PURELY herbal n SLS free. But again the ones you find in INDIA is manufactured here so it contains both SLS and ALS. Good luck and remember to look at the ingredients before buying the shampooGive the name of few mild shampoos which are available in indian market easily.....?

No end to amateur advices from those who represent companies and promote their products.

To make your hair thick, strong healthy from the roots, you should go for products that work within hair-roots. Once hair-roots are healthy, resultant growing hair will automatically be thick and hairloss will stop. Perhaps for this requirement, there is only one product range that gets you incredibly fast and honest results - it's called the Segals Solutions Program and is now available in India. It has no harmful chemicals, only the best herbs and botanical extracts from around the world and not available in any solution in India. they excel in stopping hairloss of any kind and have the widest range of hair products, all dedicated for specific problems of hair, hair-root and scalp.

With Segals Solutions, you get your hairloss stopped in just 5-6 weks and your hair-root becomes stronger to generate thick, smooth hair. This is all because of their unique ingredients. Study it all and without any delay go for this amazing product range of unmatched REAL quality and brilliance.Which shampoo is the mildest for daily wash?
As a girl i have noticed that each shampoo is different for everyone depending on your hair and how it reacts with you. Your actually supposed to switch your shampoo every time you buy because you do not want your hair to get to used to it.

I find that the cheap cheap stuff us usually pretty mild and doesn't have a lot of chemicals. However i would have to agree with the Johnson and Johnson idea. Baby shampoo is probably the lightest.

Is it true that dilluting shampoo with water makes it milder and healthier for the hair?

How should i dilute it? How much water to how much shampoo should I use?Is it true that dilluting shampoo with water makes it milder and healthier for the hair?
False!!! you don't need much shampoo anyway. I have hair past my bum and i only use about a 50 cent size amount and you don't need to wash your hair everyday, that will dry it out or make it Oliy. Your hair makes its own oils and they need that not the trash from the shampoos. a good leave in conditioner is always good to use too. If you really want to put something in your shampoo put tea tree oil in it, only about 10 drops in the entire bottle, but again you don't need to do anything to it, just don't use alot of it.Is it true that dilluting shampoo with water makes it milder and healthier for the hair?
by diluting it all you're doing is using less shampoo, but it is healthier to use less it won't dry your hair out, but theres is no need to dilute just use a dime sized amount when you shampoo

I have mild dandruff and split ends...what shampoo works well?

I want volume and shine in my hair..i know its asking for alot. but are there any products you reccomend?I have mild dandruff and split ends...what shampoo works well?
Head and shoulders :)I have mild dandruff and split ends...what shampoo works well?
    Pantene Pro-V
head and shoulders for the dandruff. a trim for the splits. nothing repairs split ends, you have to cut them off. make sure you get a trim every 3 months to avoid split ends.
    Head and Shoulders for sure
First, I would trim my ends and are you sure it's dandruff or dry scalp. Check it out, if it's dandruff you can use head and shoulder, if it's not do an oil treatment.

When that is cleared see about volume and any other thing.
Pantene is always my shampoo and conditioner of choice and they have a shampoo for that condition. Once your ends are split they will have to be trimmed before they continue up the strand and you'll have bigger problems. Sounds like you have dry hair. Try washing it less in the winter because that cold air dries the hair and scalp out.
for ur dandruff head and shoulders

Is a baby shampoo too mild for adults?

I don't think it is?!Is a baby shampoo too mild for adults?
No, especially if you have thin hair-Is a baby shampoo too mild for adults?
Nope. You can use it just find, just make sure you use a conditioner along with it because if you have long hair that shampoo can leave your hair a little tangly.
No it's not too mild at all. My mom still uses it everyday and she's 58!

If you use alot of styling products and get buildup, i would suggest twice a week using a stronger shampoo to remove that buildup, but other than that i would suggest using the baby shampoo...it's great for your hair and easy on the eyes!....

    Good luck

    Dawn
yes, though its mild, its good and highly recommended to keep your hair away from all kind of acids and chemicals that are used otherwise!!
That probably depends on how greasy your hair tends to get.

For me, I have a fairly low amount of grease build-up on my scalp, so I can't even use mild shampoo every day without my hair drying out.

I probably couldn't even use baby shampoo every day!

Some people can use heavy duty shampoo every day (like Prell) and still not get dry hair, but they have a LOT of oil/grease build up so they need it.

I would guess that for the average person, using baby shampoo every day might be about perfect.
baby shampoo has the same ph balance as tears which is too high for adults. it will dry out your hair.

baby shampoo is for getting cradle cap out. do you have anything like this on your head? i seriously doubt it.

it's not too mild, it's too HARSH.
No - I read the other day that baby shampoos are great for adults they lather well to rinse away more dirty especially in the summer when you will have more build up.
IDK but i think it isn't. Besides baby shampoos don't have as many chemicals as adult shampoos bc the baby shampoos should not harm young infants.
i think baby shampoo is great to use on hair it makes it smell really good and it makes your hair soft but it shouldnt be used every time you shampoo or if you have oily or flat hair
Probably, I would try it and see.
No, if you have some you should try it and see how your hair looks. What do you have to lose? One day of possibly bad hair?
I think it just depends on your hair type. Try it and see.
i don't believe baby's shampoo is ever too mild for adults hair. try the shampoo and see how it works on your hair.
No it is not! If you have a really sensitive scalp or some other medical hair issue, it is a good substitute.....and smell great to!
Yes, I think so. it doesn't clean your hair as good. baby shampoo is made so mild, for thin/fine ';baby'; hair. I am not sure why you would like the baby shampoo if it is for the smell or what. But Johnson and Johnson now make adult shampoo. They also have lotion for adults that smell like baby lotion as well.

  • How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

you manage split ends by getting regular trims. adding oils and conditioners temporarily covers them, but they are back as soon as you wash your hair. so get regular trims. also split ends can travel length of the hair shaft. making hair easily tangled and frail.

covering them is temporary. plus trims look nice too.How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?
hair cut every month. At least 1/2'; or whatever is necessary. stay away from over styling (ironing, flatironing , blowdrying, sun, tanning beds) as much as you can and use a protective serum when using these things. How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?
get it trimmed every 6-ish weeks, don't try to cut it yourself, and if you straighten or blow-dry, use a heat defence spray. *REMEMBER: prevention is better than cure!!*
jus try to trim them regularly n trust me the problem is solved
You can not 'fix' split ends, you can only prevent them. Get your hair trimmed often and you will be pleasantly surprised how fast and beautiful your hair will grow.
I agree with all the other answers you need to get your hair cut. Nothing drastic, just tell them you want them to cut off all the dead ends and they will be gone in no time.
go for dove breakage therapy shampoo and conditioner
All you can do is get a trim about every 2 weeks. And remember that split ends mean that your not taking good care of you're hair, like you're suppose to, trying easing off the the stylers

One word. Haircut. Split ends don't mend, they just weaken your hair shaft so they it starts to split further and further up your hair. Little trims at more frequent intervals really can help you grow your hair and have it look healthy and strong.

Sandeep i have answered your previous question also. check it out.

And Dove isnt mild...in any way...all indian shampoos are quite strong. Remember every brand...be it sunsilk pantene or dove or anything...differs in INDIA and the rest of the world...so if people say they suggest you should use a particular product, its because in their country it works wonders...the ones in india are manufactured here so they suck...they have **** loads of chemicals like ALS n SLS. I'l suggest you look into the other question of yours which iv replied to. Hope i helpedIs Dove shampoo a mild or chemicalless shampoo ?
No. Basically you have to go to a healthfood store or herbal shop for chemical free, anything you can buy in a drugstore, grocery store will have chemicals.
its neither mild nor chemical less shampoo....every shampoo is detergent based....

Johnson's baby shampoo is very mild....
Cant say its chemicalless but its definitely a very mild shampoo. I prefer using only dough cause its keeps my hair smooth and shiny for more than 3-4 days.
It makes ur hair looks more oily and stuff.

it makes my hair really greasy :-P

Wats better-head 'n shoulders or pantene?also suggest a good mild shampoo as per my needs i'm mentioning below

.Wats better-head 'n shoulders or pantene?also suggest a good mild shampoo as per my needs i'm mentioning below
if you want shine and moisture i wouldnt be using head and shoulders at all

    its a dandruff shampoo

and pantene has a silicone base and coats the hair instead of conditioning it

bye the way if you colour your hair dont use pantene it stops the colour from sticking
i think head n shoulders is is better than pantene
    PANTENE
hey call javed and not yahoo answers
No doubt H%26amp;S is better but only for dandruff control and as a mild conditioner. As a mild shampoo you should try Pantene prov or fruictis.
One that has rosemary in it.
use professional products you wont get what you are looking for from brands like that. try kms, joico, Sebastian. you can get them at a local drug store. they all carry special shampoos for what you need specifically
pantene is better for your hair. Head n SHoulders has a lot of extra minerals in there that your hair DOESNT need and SHOULDNT have. It basically adds a wax to your scalp....if you use head n shoulders you should go to a salon to get a deep conditioning done to get the wax out.
no shampoo ever does what it says, if your hair is thin you might have a physical problem see a doctor about it, if your hair color is fading, thats nomal as you age, keep your hair short, weight makes it fall out and look flat.
i like garnier fructis shampoo and conditinor i use the frizz and dry one or something like that, personally i think its really good on my hair

Either one is fine. They just don't want you using like head and shoulders or t-gel.

UK Mum's! What is the best mild shampoo to use on a 1 year old with eczema?

My little boy has got mild eczema and up until now we have been using dentinox cradle cap shampoo. (not because he has got cradle cap, just because we didn't know what else to use!) We were told by the doctor that this was ok to use too.

I was just wondering what everyone else uses on their little ones with sensitive skin as i have just managed to get my little boys eczema under control so didn't want to make it worse again.

    Thank you xx

I have 2 boys w/ eczema and after our pediatrician recommended Aveeno a couple of years ago, we haven't used anything else. It's the best over the counter product available for eczema in my opinion. You can get the unscented baby body wash/ shampoo, I use it for my 11 month old and 4 year old. They also make oatmeal based products specifically for eczema and sensitive skin.

http://www.aveeno.co.uk/UK Mum's! What is the best mild shampoo to use on a 1 year old with eczema?
You need to try old fashion Ivory soap. It doesn't have all the additives in it and shouldn't cause a rash and at the same time it will clean the scalp. Use a wash rag to rub it in.
Honestly i would stick with the cradle cap shampoo, you know it doesn鈥檛 give him any irritation, so why risk trying something recommended on here by someone who may just be taking a guess!
Tescos sell 'Halos and Horns', which is free of many of the additives that can be a problem.

Can somebody suggest me a mild shampoo which is natural and has no harmful chemicals to relieve my sore scalp?

I have a sore scalp which is flaky as well. My hair have thinned out and also there is considerable hair fall. I am required to wash my hair 4 times in a week. So i want to get a shampoo that is all natural and is a mild and effective cleanser and soothes the scalp. It should not have chemicals like paraben and sodium lauryl sulphate. Please suggest something available in India and also tell me where I can buy it from. I live in Delhi. Can somebody suggest me a mild shampoo which is natural and has no harmful chemicals to relieve my sore scalp?
Johnson's Baby Shampoo. It works for adults too. It's bright yellow in color and in an oval bottle. Most pharmacies carry it in the baby supplies section. Can somebody suggest me a mild shampoo which is natural and has no harmful chemicals to relieve my sore scalp?
Try using baby shampoo. This is a tip for you: When you wash your hair in extremely warm/hot water you remove the natural oils from your hair and scalp and will cause drying and flaking. Be sure and rinse all the shampoo out. If you shampoo with tepid (not warm-not hot) water you will benefit greatly. Tepid water is when you run it over the inside of your wrist and it feels neither hot nor cold. I hope this helps.
The shampoo you need has a generic substance called ketoconazole, as you have a condition probably called tinea capitus like athletes foot but on the head, caused by a fungus which gets into the hair follicles and creates a toxin that causes flaking.

Ketoconazole is sold commercially as an anti-dandruff shampoo, branded Nizoral, by Janssen Pharmaceutica.

I have got frizzy, wavy hair. Have dandruff problem also. Can anyone tell me some mild shampoos which will be effective making my hair soft. I have tried few herbal shampoos but I don't like it as it makes my hair even more dry. I use pantene shampoo, but I doubt this dandruff is because of this shampoo only, please helpCan anyone tell me some mild shampoos available in India?
    Try out any of these

    1. Head %26amp; shoulder

    2. Pantine

    3. FruticaCan anyone tell me some mild shampoos available in India?
Try the shampoo aloe-jojoba and conditioner. It can deeply regenerate your scalp and hair roots. It is pH-balanced.

I use it for washing my face too - I feel very good.

But you must take additional compounds (minerals - internally) for dandruff problem. The tissue metabolism must be renewed and balanced (internally and externally).

Use nizorol for few days. after getting rid of dandruff continue pantene itself its a good shampoo.

Can i shampoo my hair everyday.[mild shampoo]?

will this damage hair in any wayCan i shampoo my hair everyday.[mild shampoo]?
this is a tough question because it really depends on your hair type, though its not really a good idea to wash your hair everyday of the week, even then I';d suggest you let your hair ';rest'; over a period of at least two day, after such a vigorous washing cycle. you could try it ,maybe try it out a couple weeks and see how your hair reacts, if it's dry, and breaks off a lot; I'd suggest that you don't keep with that washing cycle.I won't tell you NOT to try it but remember to track your hair's ';healthiness'; by its breakage, shedding, and dryness.

I hope that helps, and good luck. Can i shampoo my hair everyday.[mild shampoo]?
I hope so, because I do.
You kind of should. Unless you have brittle hair to begin with. With the multitude of specific shampoos and conditioners now... It should be an everyday thing. There's a product out there for you. If you want Mild... Look for shampoos made for babies. J%26amp;J is one of the mildest out there.
Now, you know of Johnsons baby shampoo that's described as mild and gentle? Well it is the harshest shampoo on the market according to a few hairdressers I know! (am referring to mild shampoo, to think again!)

I used to was my hair everyday as it sticks up everywhere when I get up! but its not good for your hair. It does dry it out and take out all the natural oils. What have been advised to do is shampoo %26amp; conditioner one day, then the next day NO shampoo just wet it and put conditioner on it. Works a treat!

You will find this much better %26amp; healthier for your hair.
yeah you can just find a gentle shampoo.
yes you can.depends on the type of hair you have.
Lots of people do it but just be sure you have a very mild shampoo or it will dry out your hair AND condition every time
yea your hair might fall out...but it all depends on the type of hair
Why shampoo everyday if you don't need to? It's a waste of shampoo, I shampoo every other day and I brush my hair everynight before I got to bed.. That distributes the hair's natural oils.... Good luck
i wouldnt suggest it because you're robbing yourscalp and hair of natural oils. Excessess washing could lead to dryness of scalp and hair, which means your hair would look dry and dull.
Yes, you can shampoo your hair every day. I have washed my hair every day for over forty years(and sometimes twice a day in summer) and I have silky shiny healthy hair. Just be sure that you use a shampoo formulated for your hair type. If you use conditioner, the same applies. Be sure you rinse your hair throughly. Stlyling products and heat are the things that damage hair the most. Be careful with those.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEDw75rnphM
Yeah, you can. But its good to leave it a day or two at times to let your hairs natural oils re-produce, as they keep your hair healthy and shiny. As long as its a frequent use shampoo, you'll be fine :]
Yes it would damage your hair unless you have the type of hair that you can do that you see i have black people hair so if i do that it would damage my hair really bad it would all fall out. but really it depends on what type of hair you have
In the long run its not going to be good for any ones hair. The scalp puts out a natural oil which looks after the hair and you follicles. If you was it away it keeps putting more out - hence some people get greasy hair because of this. Basically to find an equilibrium you need to was it every couple of days. That equilibrium by the way is between nature and modern expectation of cleanliness!
Some people have to wash their hair everyday because it gets super oily. If this is you, then go ahead. People with normal heads of hair should wash their hair every other day or on the 3rd day. People with african american hair and curly hair that is frizz prone should wash their hair once a week.

The damage that washing your hair everyday could cause would basically be dry hair and this would make it more prone to breaking off. Just use a mild shampoo, use a wide tooth comb and there shouldn't be a problem

    What is in mild shampoo?

Mild shampoo is a shampoo that is gentle on your hair and doesn't have any extra things in it like volumizing, shine control, etc. What is in mild shampoo?

    What is a mild shampoo?

Sexy Hair Organics shampoo and conditioner.... Very mild and conditions well. Protects color too, no sulfates.

    http://www.sexyhair.com/organics.htmWhat is a mild shampoo?
A mild shampoo would be one without harsh ingredients like sulfates. These types of shampoos are usually natural and organic shampoos. Some examples would be Giovanni, Yes to Carrots, and Wen. Giovanni and Yes to Carrots can be found at some Walgreens. Health foods stores carry organic and natural shampoos, too. Wen can only be bought online, or, in a few salons, the main salon is located in California. But, Wen isn't a shampoo, it's actually a no-shampoo line of hair care products. Instead of shampoo it has a cleansing conditioner and that gets your hair clean without the harsh, over-drying ingredients. What is a mild shampoo?

I can use baby shampoo okay, but does anyone know of another shampoo that is considered very gentle or hypoallergenic? What is the mildest shampoo to use?
Can you use organic shampoos? They're more gentle because they have natural ingredients instead of chemicals like commercial products. Some organic shampoos include Burt's Bee's and Aubrey Organics. If you don't go that route you can always try out different shampoos and then dilute them with water about a 1:2 shampoo to water ratio. What is the mildest shampoo to use?

Or, if you can afford it, ask at your local bodyshop for shampoo for a sensitive scalp as their products are all natural!

Brands like Neutrogena, Nivea, L'Oreal, will have hypoallergenic shampoos
    Conditioner.

I actually use Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo and conditioner. I noticed a big difference the first time I used it. It makes your hair shinier, softer, silkier and healthier. It's great for hair that's prone to split ends.
i use tea tree special shampoo (available from your local beauty salon most likely) its GREAT, leaves hair clean and healthy and feels GREAT on your scalp, guarentee you will NEVER go back to any other shampoo once you use this stuff.

HelpIs there a mild shampoo out there?
there is Johson's baby shampoo, or Johnson's kids shampoo or you can use Lo'real for kids.

i think you should use any volumizing shampoo if your hair is thinning out.Is there a mild shampoo out there?
nioxin is my holy grail for thinning hair and damaged scalps... get the system that suits your needs there are 8...but get the one thats for severely thinning hair, so either 2 4 6 or 8 depending on the texture or any chemicals lurking in there. I burned my hair and scalp with bleach to the point of balding, but after a few weeks of this the blisters where gone and my hair has grown back and is growing at an accelerated pace. it has natural herbs and extracts from mint, rosemary and other plants that heal your dry itchy scalp and stimulate blood flow to your scalp, causing hair growth. it smells minty and has a cooling/tingly effect on your scalp.
If you're looking for a mild shampoo, Johnson %26amp; Johnson Baby Shampoo actually works pretty well.
    Try tresemme line

been using it my whole life..

maybe for best results you should buy a hydrating/volumizing shampoo+conditioner from a salon. Salon products give much better results then drugstore brand, but do cost a little more. Just go to a hairdresser shop %26amp; they should be selling some of them.

Buy a hair mask called k pac that should help you out with your dry scalp problem

Ps i also heard eating more fruits+drinking more water can improve the texture of your hair
No actually..baby shampoo is great for babies..not adults. It's so their eyes don't sting if they get shampoo in them. It's very alkaline, and overuse of it can damage the hair the same way an alkaline perm can.

Try Nioxin or Paul Mitchell. Nioxin is great for thinning hair, and Paul Mitchell is gentle.

I have curly hair becomes very dry even if iapply oil n wash it with mild shampoo. Can u tell me wat can i do?

only use shampoo once a week and co-wash during the week with a cheap moisturizing conditioner like suave ocean breeze or suave tropical coconut. the conditioners have some of the same detergents as the shampoo so they clean your hair all the same wi/o the drying effect. Apply a moisturizing leave in as well. I usually just use watered down conditioner and olive/castor oil.

    *edit*

be sure to deep condition with a moisturizing hair mask once a week to restore moisture.I have curly hair becomes very dry even if iapply oil n wash it with mild shampoo. Can u tell me wat can i do?
    If you are a girl...

After you shampoo your hair, condition it, and rub it into your scalp and let the conditioner sit for about 2 minutes, then rinse it out.

Do not wash it every day, wash your hair every other day.

If you wash it every other day the natural oils in your hair will come out, and also give your hair more of a shine.

DO NOT use curling irons, or flat irons everyday, that will damage and dry out your hair even more.

Nexus, or Tresseme shampoo conditioner work very good.I have curly hair becomes very dry even if iapply oil n wash it with mild shampoo. Can u tell me wat can i do?
I have naturally curly hair too. the bigest mistake you can make is using one of those shampoo that boast about having 'protiens' in them They actually dry your hair our more!! I have had great results with Garnier Frucits as well as Sunsilk.

Dont wash your hair with any more shampoo than you need to barely make bubbles. Squeaky clean is NO GOOD for curly hair!! Condition your hair normally after washing and once a week use a deep conditioner, Garnier makes a good one. Try not to use hair dryers, flat irons curling irons excessively. Also, as a rule of thumb, its never a good idea to brush curly hair. If you must put something in your hair, only use a very wide toothed comb or a pick.

    Hope is helps!
ive faced the same kind of problem.

ill suggest some remedies that can do wonders for curly dry hair :0)

#whenever you apply oil, dip your towel in hot water and wrap it like a turban on your head. this helps absorb the oil better.

#trimming hair every month is an absolute necessity since dry hair are prone to split ends even more. this will automatically improve your hair texture.

#honey is a great hair conditioner and softener. mix two teaspoons of honey with two eggs and a banana. apply this hair pack and leave it for half an hour. wash it with a mild shampoo. your hair will become soft and shiny.

#use minimum hair products during this time of the year (ie monsoons) because the moisture in the air works bad for the hair.

#rinsing hair with beer can work like wonders. better for your hair than for your belly !

    happy to help :)
You should try using olive oil shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo replenishes your scalp and hair. Then apply a generous amount of conditioner to the scalp and brush through all the way to the ends of your hair. Let it sit for about 15 min. then rinse. The conditioner leaves hair rich and has a healthy shine. I also recomend Olive Oil hair lotion it is great for dry hair. I hope this helps!
curly hair have to be manged more than any other texture....

See, u have to be very particular in choosing a shampoo and conditioner for ur hair as they become rough very soon...

i also have curly hair but i've improved the texture of my hair...

I started using Anti frizz shampoo from loreal (professional series) 2 years ago, and believe me, now i've got very smooth curls....Curly hair need serum after shampooing and conditioning....

its good that u apply hair oil before a wash but it would not make much affect as curly hair become dry after wash and e unmanagable....

i just suggest u to apply curd or egg one hour be4 shampooing....it leads to a very nice affect.....

    best of luck...
    Don't wash it everyday.

I myself have curly hair and not washing it for a day adds natural oils and can even increase the curls.

also i recommend curl construct moose by garnier fructis, even though it is a styling product it also adds moisture.
Use this shampoo called herbal Essences

    http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect鈥?/a>

And i suggest getting a hair straightner.

But don't use it everyday its unhealthy for your hair.
ahh i have the same thing as you i learned only shampoo your hair twice a week use conditioner where it says dry hair or curly every 2 weeks use deep conditioning stuff then you will have pretty hair
u can use conditioner ( sunsilk conditioner is really gud) after a mild shampoo ...then u dont hav to apply oil

even if this doesnt work try a leave on conditioner .........
apply oil twice a week with amla powder in it and wash ur hair after an hour.

wash ur hair with cold water as it prevents frizz and dryness.
Use biologe stuff you buy at the salon, I use this frizz ez stuff that helps alot with my curly dry hair.

  • Best mild shampoo and conditioner?

i have a fairly sensitive scalp are there any good shampoos and conditioners that would suit me, i don't gel my hair so i dont need strong shampoo.Best mild shampoo and conditioner?
Johnson and Johnson classic yellow baby shampoo is really gentle. They actually make one now that is unscented too. If you don't feel normal using baby shampoo then I would just try a variety of products from the store. The ones marked ';unscented'; and ';sensitive skin'; would be good choices. If you can find one with colloidal oatmeal in it that would be great too.

I have a friend with really sensitive skin, and instead of shampoo she uses aveeno's unscented ';skin relief body wash.'; I don't know if she uses a conditioner, but the body wash has moisturizers so it might do double duty.Best mild shampoo and conditioner?

emulave- you can buy it in boots or any other chemist
Timotei is mild but I don't know if they still make it! I used to use it years ago
Try Boots botanics shampoo...they have lots of different varieties and they are made from all natural ingrediants. Plus, they dont cost the earth. The one that is ultra moisturising is really nice, its mild but leaves your hair really soft and smells great. They do different ones for different hair colours so check them out.
    simple shampoo and conditioner
If you are looking for something mild that is not a baby shampoo, more than likely you're not gonna find it on the shelf in a drugstore or at wal-mart. Most brands like Pantene or Herbal Essence or Suave have sulfates in them. Sulfates are found in cheap shampoos. They are abrasive salts used to cleanse the hair but they do serious damage to the scalp and hair in the process. The best hair care I have found is made by a company called Elon. They make alot of Dermatology recommended products. I use their whole line of hair care to keep my hair soft and silky. Their pre-wash basically fixes damage caused by over treatment and coloring in 1-2 uses and their masque deep conditions. The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free so they keep your hair soft. I use the shampoo and conditioner everyday and they other 2 once a week or so.

    Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

Free from ALL chemicals - Only one range in the country - Segals Solutions Program. Unmatched brilliance with unique botanical ingredients, special hair vitamins and anti-oxidants, which none else has it. Results are simply amazing. Ask for their special shampoo for dry/frizzy hair. It virtually repairs any sort of damaged hair.Hi, can anybody suggest me a good mild shampoo or a daily use which is free from all chemical?
Go with Jason brand organic shampoos. They have a biotin one that is the only reason I have hair left from dyeing LOL. free of crap and sulfates and also doesn't test on animals :) Also try organic olive oil masks, they really help frizzy hair, do it about once a week, and try shampooing every other day. You can also find this stuff at Wal-mart and other grocery stores.
At any ULTA and Sephora stores you can purchase JONATHON Product, by Jonathon Anton. It is Detergent free. It is really mild and it comes in a variety of formulas including: Extra Moisture, Extra Volume.

What is the most mild shampoo they make?

Seems everything I try dries out my scalp and hairWhat is the most mild shampoo they make?
I was having the dry hair syndrome too. I use to have very oily hair, so for me this is quit a switch. A lot has to do with your water and the climate. I have moved to a very hot climate and the water here is very hard. My hair dresser suggested I switch to Dove Shampoo. I followed her advice and saw an immediate difference with the very first washing. I am also installing a water softener. What is the most mild shampoo they make?
Neutrogena is good. Maybe you should try using a conditioner too though.
try a baby shampoo, like johnson and johnson.
Baby shampoo is probably the mildest they make.
Try a shampoo that does not have sodium laurel sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate. Health food stores have shampoos that use a more natural ingredient to make them foamy. I like Epona shampoos.
Try the new conditioning baby shampoo by Johnson and Johnson. Its in a peachy-tan bottle.

What shampoo is concidered a ';mild shampoo'; ?

i hear that mild shampoo's are supost to be better for your hair, lol. [= i currently use panteen pro v, extra body shampoo. Is that good for my hair??What shampoo is concidered a ';mild shampoo'; ?
Definitely not. A mild shampoo is one that is free of sulfates. Sulfates are harsh ingredients that appear in most commercial shampoos, and also dish detergents. They dry out your hair

Sulfate free shampoos are shampoos like Giovanni. You can get Giovanni stuff at Targets and Rite Aid and organic stores like Whole Foods. What shampoo is concidered a ';mild shampoo'; ?
mix extra virgin olive oil and flour and make into a paste. stir up 6 raw eggs and apply to hair all the way to the roots. gently rub in 2 ounces of mayonaisse. let dry and harden into a devo hat. wash with cocoa butter 2-3 times. your hair will thank you over and over again.

Anyone know of an extra mild shampoo?

I've tried a lot of shampoos but they all make my hair and scalp dryAnyone know of an extra mild shampoo?
johnson's baby shampooAnyone know of an extra mild shampoo?
Try Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo, thats about as mild as they come..Do you live in an area where it is very cold? The heat from furnaces and such are very hard against already dry hair! Try mosistures after the shampooing process to add even more moisture. Try not to blow dry your hair if possible. Any kind of heat makes it even dryer...Good luck and I hope some of this works for you.
try some of the baby shampoos, they are made to be extra mild, and they smell nice too. There are a lot more variety now.
Use baby shampoo instead. They are extra mild.

  • Can anyone recommend a mild shampoo?

    Hey!

Dove Shampoo's tend to be mild as they have a neutral PH. They also do a pretty good job at washing hair but aren't too harsh and tend to leave the hair in a good condition :)

Also Aussie do quite a range of shampoo's and I've tried a couple of them. They were very mild and I didn't feel like they left build up on my hair and I had to constantly switch shampoo's. They were gentle on my hair, probably less so than Dove, but left my hair in a slightly better condition as it was easier to manage and had more shine.

Personally, I'd recommend both Dove and Aussie as they are quite inexpensive and there's usually some offer :D

Hope this helps and have a wonderful day

xxCan anyone recommend a mild shampoo?
Any health food store would carry this and as the big department/discount store chains vary from region to region the best place to look is your local ';whole foods'; and/or ';earth'; stores. There are several products that come to mind but I think the JASON products are much more milder than most and they have different formulas...That being said and not knowing your economic status there's a good expensive product several of my colleges swear by. There's even an infomercial at night but I cannot remember the ';famous'; faces in it. the product is called Wen and I even think you could google it, as for the price-I'm not sure, but I agree the friends that swear have really great healthy hair. I just prefer to take a more frugal and earth-friendly approach to my beauty regimen. Can anyone recommend a mild shampoo?
I agree with poppet, johnsons baby shampoo,if it's good enough for them it's good enough for us!!.
Suave shampoos. They get the job done, keep your hair clean, and don't have alcohol to dry hair out.

johnson and johnson baby shampoo, very mild.
Neutrogena has a bunch of mild shampoos that work very nicely. I especially like the mild anti-residue shampoo that takes out all of the buildup that we accumulate in our hair!
use garnier oil control. iused it and its effective

How to know that a shampoo is mild enough for daily usage?

My hair are curly n frizzy. I want to use a mild shampoo. Can i make out by looking at its ingredients? How to know that a shampoo is mild enough for daily usage?
ya of course u can make it out by seeing its ingredients...

if that finds difficult you can see the pH value printed behind the bottle..How to know that a shampoo is mild enough for daily usage?
You can...but for that you need to know about them really well.

    Another way:

You'll have to buy small bottles or sachets of different shampoos. Use them and see which on suits you best. Choose the shampoo which does increase hair-fall, does not make your hair dry and rough and does not make them prone to dust and all.

If the shampoo does not fulfill the above listed requirements you can swap to another shampoo.

If the shampoo makes you feel good, comfortable and light...Its the right one!!
you shoudnn't shampoo your hair everyday. maybe every other day.....washing ur hair daily sucks out all the moisture and leaves it feeling dry and can stop it from growing...or cause dry scalp problems such as dandruff.
shampoo your hairs daily and put oil
    dove is the best

Can anybody recommend a home made mild puppy shampoo?

i've heard of some people using perla soap on their dogs. it's a mild laundry soap with coconut oil and has a whitening effect. some people even use this to wash their face. i'm thinking of melting it overnight in water and adding 2 tbspn of virgin coconut oil to make sure it doesn't dry out my pup's skin. has anyone tried this? i would appreciate if can somebody suggest another home made mild soap. Can anybody recommend a home made mild puppy shampoo?
It's not home made, but baby shampoo works great. I use it on my little dog because I have to get around the face area with the long hair around her eyes and nose. My big dog, I use dawn dish soap. Lathers up nice, smells good and doesn't dry the skin out at all.Can anybody recommend a home made mild puppy shampoo?
Dogs skin is not the same as ours. I suggest you stick with manufactured puppy shampoos, or else risk seriously irritating your dogs skin.
try IVORY dish soap with only a drop of eucaluptus oil and water mix well and rinse well it not only kills fleas on contact it is hypoalerginic excuse my spelling!

Is it okay to use mild human shampoo on a short haired dog?

It seems to work fine on our old lab mix.Is it okay to use mild human shampoo on a short haired dog?
Yes, shampoos like baby shampoo are okay so long as you rinse it out very well. Dogs should not be washed too often though, unless they are very dirty or smell bad. It could dry their skin out too much. Dogs don't sweat through their skin like humans so they do not need daily, or weekly baths. Is it okay to use mild human shampoo on a short haired dog?
Human shampoo is too drying for use on a dog. Use only shampoo formulated for dogs. Many human shampoos also contain chemicals that are very irritating to a dog's skin. Many dogs break out in rashes, itching, or dandruff if human shampoo is used on them. It should only be used in an emergency.

Why do dogs need their own kind of shampoo? Manufacturers say their products are gentle enough to prevent the natural oils in a dog's coat from being stripped, but strong enough to get out the dirt. Note: Dogs skin is much different and dryer from human skin which contains more oils.
Although it's not ideal, it would be okay if you diluted it with some water in a bottle first.
If it works fine then ok. But just to be sure, especially if it is mild shampoo, then go to your vet and ask if it is ok.
No the ph level in human shampoo is too much for an animal to handle. You need to use dog shampoo.
I would try a Johnson's shampoo. My puppy uses it and he is fine. However, if you notice flaking skin go back to your puppy specific shampoos.
without a doubt. it may give them a little dandruff though.
I have used normal shampoo on my dog before and she was fine so im sure its ok

  • Suggest a mild shampoo & conditioner for daily hair-wash?

I have short, wavy, thin hair. It gets oily very easily. So, i usually wash it daily with a small quantity of shampoo %26amp; conditioner. Since i am washing it daily, can anyone suggest a very mild (but good) shampoo %26amp; conditioner? Also, i use the ';Neutrogena triple-moisture leave-in conditioner'; after hair-wash. Should I continue doing this daily?

    Thanks.Suggest a mild shampoo %26amp; conditioner for daily hair-wash?
I have Oily hair also, so I use a shampoo and conditioner that is going to give me some volume, if you have a sally 's near you they are very reasonable for prices and they sell generic matrix, Paul mitchell, Biologe hair products with the same ingredients.

I would stop using the Neutrogena triple moisture conditioner, I have tried it and I think it weighs my hair down and only makes it more greasySuggest a mild shampoo %26amp; conditioner for daily hair-wash?
    Suave.

It's between 87 cents and $1.19 at Walmart and other stores.

i started taking homeopathic sulfer pills and they worked like a charmCan anyone recommend an organic or low-sudsing mild shampoo good for eczema sufferers?
Try a natural food store. They have lines of products for people with skin conditons, inclluding shampoos. But they are VERY Expensive.
Arbonne International has great products for folks with skin issues like eczema. You could also try their ABC Baby Care products. I know it sounds strange, but a lot of people with eczema or psoriasis use Arbonne's baby care products because they are so gentle on sensitive skin. It's a thought - and there is a baby shampoo.
my doctor has directed me to use a moisturizing shampoo, no specific brand, and cool water.
I know of people with eczema and psoraisis who shampoo with Apple cider vinager. May not leave your smelling the best, yet helps to heal the scalp.

Whats a good mild shampoo for treating guinea pig lice?

I hear lice is easily treatable at home and that should I use flea shampoo formulated for kittens. Can anyone recommend me a good safe shampoo? I plan on taking my pigs to the vet anyway for a checkup.

Also what should I use to disinfect the cage?

thanks.Whats a good mild shampoo for treating guinea pig lice?
DO NOT SHAMPOO YOUR GUINEA FOR LICE, you can give them an overdose and kill them. Go to your vet it is most likely mites. If it is lice this is what you can do...GO TO YOUR VET, they will prescribe advantage and that will get rid of the lice if that is what it is. If it is mites have the vet prescribe ivermetcin to get rid of mites.Whats a good mild shampoo for treating guinea pig lice?
Talk to a vet, don't listen to people online. YOu may poison them if you listen to bad advice.A call tot he vet should get you an answer, though they may want to be sure of what kind of lice/bug it is.
you need to take your guinea pig to the vet. The vet will either prescribe him Ivermectin or Revolution.

    Good luck.

What is the chemical difference between harsh shampoo and mild shampoo?

What does it mean (chemical definition, please) for a shampoo to be mild? Or strong/harsh? Please explain the science.

Please do not link to a website that sells or promotes a specific brand of shampoo. If you do that, I will report you as a spammer. Please do not link to any AdSense supported site, or I will report you as a spammer. What is the chemical difference between harsh shampoo and mild shampoo?
    PH balance.

Some shampoos are not ph balanced to your hair and body. Humans ph balance are different then that of say dogs or rabbits. Alot of company do and used to test on animals rather it be mice to dogs etc. So when it says ph balance you need to check to see if the bottle says not tested on animals. This means either they tested on people or they only tested it with litmace (sp) paper. PH scale is 1-14 our shampoos should be anywhere between a 5-9 closer to the middle is better. What is the chemical difference between harsh shampoo and mild shampoo?
The grade of a shampoo is dependent upon the base content. Much like regular soap there is a certain amount of base contained in the shampoo product that is important in the removal of dirt. However, in the event that hair folicles are too sensitive to the basicity of the product it is either pH balanced (fixed at a certain level) or changed to a milder level that makes it useful and manageable.
